9. Cure/Wash process

9.1. Home cure/wash

Wash and cure are essential for the proper completion of SLA printing. However, we don't necessarily need to own an additional device at home.

After printing, the model is sticky due to excess photopolymer residues and feels tacky to the touch.



For washing, we can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol, which we pour into a thicker bag or a plastic container. We place the model in this bag/container and let it soak for 3-5 minutes.


Ideally, we repeat the process twice to thoroughly clean the excess layer.

Next, for curing, we can use a UV curing lamp or a nail lamp. We place the model under the lamp for approximately 1 minute (more can be used based on size) from each side.
