7. FDM printers

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is an additive manufacturing technology used for 3D printing objects. It's one of the most popular and widely adopted 3D printing technologies today.

The printing process involves a heated print head (extruder) that pushes thermoplastic material through a small nozzle opening. The material, which is in the form of filaments or wires, is melted and applied to the print bed layer by layer following precisely defined paths. After applying one layer, the material rapidly cools and solidifies, forming a strong bond with the previous layers.
